Lately (again)...

So I'm working on a huge post about my trip to San Francisco, but I've been feeling really neglectful of my beloved blog, so here's a bit of stuff I've been up to here lately to entice you...

So obsessed with these shoes I just bought on eBay. 

First off, Jeffrey Campbell's for fifty bucks?! Don't mind if I do!

Second, these are from his Woodies line, and they're not in production anymore, although I am still obsessed with wooden clogs, haha.

I saw them in San Francisco at a vintage boutique called Wasteland on Haight Street (my favorite from the trip), and they were $55 but were really beat up.  You might not be able to tell from this picture, but these seem really new, so I feel like I got a good deal.

What would be a return to Alabama without some fried chicken?

Hunter surprised me by putting together my bar-cart from Ikea! It looks so cute in my kitchen and provides a little more space when I have guests for dinner/drinks.

Fashion Inspiration: Stevie Nicks

I suppose since I featured Misty Day in last week’s inspiration post, it’s only fitting to post about her inspiration, Stevie Nicks.

I couldn't agree more!

During the Fleetwood Mac era, Nicks came to the forefront with her billowy outfits, daring mixture of textures and patterns, layers, platform boots, and sequins.

Definitely an advocate for velvet

And big, floppy sun-hats 

Even today, it seems that Nicks' iconic style is constantly imitated, with seventies throwbacks featured in any Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, or Free People store.

Her style is constantly evolving, from bohemian outfits, to flashy stage ensembles resembling a "white witch."

Vintage Jewelry From My Grandmother's Jewelry Box

Earlier this month, my precious poppa gave me some of my grandmother's vintage jewelry from the seventies, and I've been so excited to wear them. I inherited her unique bohemian style and love of all things turquoise.

I have also noticed that I have yet to post any fashion entries, and there isn't a better way to introduce my personal style to the blogsphere than with pieces that are so dear to me.

My grandmommy unfortunately passed away this past St. Patrick’s Day and while going through her things, my mother and grandfather thought I’d enjoy these pieces.  My grandmother and I were obviously a lot alike, and I am so grateful to have these little pieces of her with me.  She was such an amazing lady, and although I miss her tremendously, I take solace in knowing that she’s lookin’ out for me.
