Lately...

I voted! Did you?

Me n' the babe loungin'  per ushe

Snapped a quick photo of my outfit at work
Free People Circle in the Sand Tee
American Eagle denim shirt
Madewell army green Skinny Fatigues
Madewell Arrowstack Necklace

Obsessed with my matte brick-red Lip Paint from Fat and the Moon in Mortar & Pestle
It's my favorite lip color ever. Although, as you can see from the red mark on the pot, it's actually really messy, so have some napkins or hand sanitizer with you if you use it!

I saw this stuff in General Store, a place in San Francisco in Outer Sunset (Judah St.), but bought it from their Etsy store online, but it's now carried in Urban Outfitters!

Check out this AMAZING faux vintage Native American squash blossom statement necklace (a la 70s "half-breed" Cher) for fifty bucks on Etsy! That might seem a bit pricey, but look below at what they normally cost.

$3,000 YEESH

So happy to have my Harley Davidson boots in!

I've been looking for a pair like these for MONTHS and these are absolutely perfect.
The buyer was so sweet and helpful too, so be sure to check out Metropolis Vintage for all of your future vintage boot needs at https://www.etsy.com/shop/MetropolisNYCVintage

I also got my hands on this stuff and I am happy to report that my hair is, in fact, big and sexy.
:)

The beau took me to Babalu this weekend! And lemme tell ya, it was amazin'.

A pic of me from our office field trip to Sloss Furnace!

#OOTD

I really am trying to take more pictures of my outfits. It's just hard when you're not a professional ~photographer~

The screen shots above are photos of a couple of things I got from UO this week.
The sequined shorts look great with heels and an oversized denim shirt. I'm glad I got them on sale.
And since I've been on-the-go so much lately, I invested in a big, trendy tote bag. I love this reversible one I got.
I've been hauling all of my junk in it. It's great.

Below is a little bathroom pic of my latest work ensemble:
An oversized black, heathered t-shirt and
a yellow Voile & Lace trapeze slip from Free People
(I LOVE these slips. I have three. They're so easy and flattering)
Worn with black leather hurache sandles and silver and turquoise jewelry

Lately...

The Owl's Hollow Farm stand in the lobby at work.

Hunter and I have been looking at vintage tattoos. I love this one.

I finally found a perfect Stevie Nicks print to hang in my house.
It's 11x14, with turquoise roses, and I asked the artist to leave off the butterflies as a personal preference.

Love the lace-up detail of this dress I got on Haight Street in San Fancisco

Trying to take more pictures of my outfits :)

Friday

Selfie for good-lash days like this one
(using L'Oreal Telescopic in Carbon Black)

At work, we got the opportunity to hear Bill Baxley and Doug Jones give one of the most moving presentations I've ever seen, highlighting their work in successfully prosecuting the perpetrators of the 16th St Baptist Church bombing in 1963. I am so grateful that the leaders at HealthSouth arranged for them to speak on their reflection of progress in our city. These men are true heroes, among many heroes in the Civil Rights era, and I am so glad we could to meet them. My heart is so full! Fifty Years Forward indeed.

(pictured right) the response letter from former Attorney General to a racist bafoon who criticized his work in Alabama.

Loving these colors.
Red/white striped 3/4 length t-shirt from Urban Outfitters
Olive green cargo vest from Old Navy
Gold bow ring from Madewell
Gold arrow necklace from World Market
Tiny (fake) diamond/gold midi ring from rue21

Ugh my phone wouldn't focus, but I just got this at Target, I've been using it all week.
*Fingers crossed*

H&M Haul!

The time is now.

American's can order H&M online now, and I don't have to take a trip all the way to dang Huntsville for these low, low prices, so I bought a ton (too much) stuff for my San Francisco trip.

Here's a nice list for y'all.

I'm returning the pants; a nice effort at being a Free People faded black biker jean knock off, and they were only $15, but the low-rise fit isn't the most flattering.
I ran into an all-too-familiar problem of my butt being too big and the waist being too small, BYE.

I'm also returning the heels. They're pretty cute, but I got an 8, and they were weirdly small (I normally wear a 7), and the leather part seemed really fragile, which would be one thing if they were like 30 bucks, but they were actually $60! Not worth it, I'm afraid.  So I'm taking them back to Huntsville. Otherwise, I was very pleased with my purchases.

This yellow dress was like, $30, and it's really breezy, summery, and most importantly, very work appropriate.
The thing I find with comparable stores like Forever 21, rue 21, etc., is that  their dresses might fit well and look cute, but they're super dang short, and I can't wear them hardly anywhere.
This dress comes right to my knees. Fair warning though, I am really short, so a lot of stuff does look somewhat long on me, so check the measurements before you purchase!
So now I no longer have to drop big bucks at Gap or Madewell for cute officewear, and that rules.

UNFFF. Love these leather shorts. 18 bucks.  YEAH.
They rule, and like I said, I can't shop for shorts at Urban Outfitters without them going up my buttcrack, but these are actually pretty long. They come down to about my mid-thigh.
The elastic waistband makes them super comfy, plus *they have pockets!!*
Definitely wearing these with my Harley Davidson shirts in San Francisco next week, but they also look super cute with my clogs and a flannel button up.

I've been looking for a fringe bag for so dang long.  I'm so glad I stumbled upon this.  I think it was $32, and I'm obsessed.  It's a pretty good size, and black fringe is obv my fave.

Bad photo, but this is one of my favorite items. It's a black, long, trumpet-sleeved mini dress with lace trim.
I love it a lot, a lot. I think it was $35 and I've been wearing it with turquoise jewelry and my Lucky Brand clogs.
It's actually really short, however, so I only wear it to go out, but it's so dang cute and flattering. It also comes in white, but y'all know I'm the queen of doom, so.

I also got this purple matte lipstick for $5. It's a really saturated, dramatic color, so I don't wear it in the daytime, but it's a really great product for the price.
Plus, it's the best purple shade I've found.
It definitely gives off a 90s goth, grunge vibe. I always want to wear it with black, crushed velvet, haha.

P.S. Sorry not sorry that pretty much everything I bought is black.  oops.
