One beauty product that I'm slowly starting to accumulate more of is perfume. Although on a trip to Paris, France a few years back, I discovered that most "perfume" in the United States is actually more alcohol-based and not actual perfume, which makes me sad, but I still love getting gifts of pretty scents, which is how my fragrance hoard actually started.
So it all pretty much started when I received this Daisy Eau So Fresh perfume by Marc Jacobs for Christmas one year, and fell in love. I'm definitely partial to light, floral scents, and this one is my absolute favorite, perhaps "signature," scent.
Which prompted me to try these Marc Jacobs fragrances:
Honey, Oh, Lola!, and Daisy Eau So Fresh: Delight (a gift from my boyfriend)
Although my personal style may not always reflect it, I really am a huge fan of Betsey Johnson. I love her vintage pinup looks, and I own two handbags, two cocktail dresses, and a bathing suit, but her perfume is the best.
I have the Betsey Johnson signature (above), as well as Too Too (below), and I really love them both. They definitely add to her vintage feminine vibe with classic, yet not overpowering scents.
Probably the most surprising scent for me is Juicy Couture: Viva La Juicy bottle, since I literally have not owned one item from Juicy since the ninth grade. Although their clothes are mighty tacky, this is one of my favorite scents, with undertones and overall feel being similar to the Betsey Johnson perfume.
It really excites me to get new perfume samples in my monthly Birchbox, so I'm eager to try new, seasonal smells.
